Swine Influenza A (H1N1) Update

The Department of Public Health is requesting that any physician or group who has yet to register as a vaccine provider to please follow this web link and fill out the Provider Agreement and Provider Profile to register yourself or your practice as a provider of H1N1 vaccine.

This will help assure that all private providers who would like to vaccinate have an opportunity to participate as additional vaccine becomes available.

In addition, the priority list for vaccination was updated yesterday to include all personnel working in physician offices and other health care settings. If your own primary-care physician does not have vaccine available, please use the Mass Dispensing Area map and contact information.

H1N1 Vaccination Preregistration
The Connecticut Department of Public Health has begun a preregistration process for physicians who wish to distribute the H1N1 vaccine. DPH is particularly interested in enrolling physicians who care for adults, especially primary care physicians and obstetrician/gynecologists. (The pediatric community is well-organized through the Vaccines for Children program.) CSMS has posted the preregistration documents, refrigeration requirements and an explanation of liability issues tied to this effort.  Preregistration is not a commitment to distribute the vaccine, but a means for DPH to gauge interest from the physician community in making it available to patients.
