NAFC Clinic seeks volunteers for Feb. 3 free clinic
Dear NHCMA Members:
The National Association of Free Clinics has obtained liability coverage for its scheduled Feb. 3 free clinic for uninsured patients at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford on Wednesday, Feb. 3. This event is seeking physicians from primary care through all specialties, including pediatricians, gastroenterologists, and ENTs. In addition to liability coverage being provided, physicians do not need to bring any medical supplies or equipment unless they have a preferred tool they personally like to use for patient exams. Parking is free of charge.
We realize this event is very close: NAFC’s model is to announce the event on somewhat short notice. They have received significant national press attention at each of these clinics, where thousands of patients have received care. Several social service agencies will also be on site to assist patients in signing up for available services and follow-up care.
